Edward O’ Toole

Director of Global Gas Analysis

During his 19 years of experience in the energy industry, Edward O’ Toole has participated in a wide range of LNG and natural gas client driven project work, providing advisory services to government agencies, utilities in the U.S. and Canada, and large international energy companies.

Prior to joining RBAC, Ed was the lead natural gas market analyst developing the natural gas market outlook for a large consulting firm where he provided analytical, market modeling and advisory services for North American and global gas markets.

Ed’s foundation of natural gas market knowledge was built on his early project work of providing analysis and research for client reports, in particular, several break-through reports that highlighted the supply potential of North American shale gas. As the potential for shale production became a reality, his project work shifted towards supporting the regulatory filings for the first US LNG export facility as well as many of the other projects that followed. Seeing the potential of large scale LNG exports out of North America, Ed participated in a project with RBAC to develop the initial version of the G2M2® Market Simulator for Global Gas and LNG™. Using G2M2 he provided market analysis and forecasts for client projects in the Middle East and North Africa as well as studies for large European and Asian utilities.

Currently at RBAC, Ed is the Director of Global Gas Analysis and oversees the release of our quarterly global gas market forecast and advanced data visualization system: G2M2 Insights. He also provides advisory services for North American and global natural gas clients, develops visual analytics tools, and provides client training and support for the G2M2 market model.
