Quick Brief - New U.S. Monthly Demand Records in 2024
Demand for natural gas in the United States saw significant growth last year and even set new demand records for Winter and Summer.

Historically, gas demand in the U.S. around that time of year is largely weather driven with peaks in demand expected in Winter and Summer. In Winter it is for heating in residential and commercial sectors while in Summer it is due to increased electricity generation needs for air-conditioning. However, despite monthly records being set for demand, the rest of the year were more muted.

Demand for gas in the United States is constantly growing and investments are being made into natural gas to increase the amount of gas in supply for power generation. And with data centers and AI on the rise, natural gas is the current fuel of choice for powering the future.
Because of this, it is imperative to know what the natural gas and LNG market within the U.S. could look like in the coming decades and what the exact role of gas will be in the energy mix. GPCM enables market analysts to forecast future market conditions and run market scenarios based on their own unique assumptions.
