RBAC Inc., Energy Market Simulation Systems

RBAC 2024 September Seminar Recap

On September 16th in Houston, energy industry professionals, executives and decision-makers gathered for RBAC’s September Seminar: “Navigating the Future of Natural Gas: Exploring North American and Global Gas Markets with RBAC Inc.”

Attendees across the spectrum of energy came to increase their knowledge of the short, medium, and long-term outlooks as well as various scenarios that could potentially occur and how the market would be affected using the GPCM® Market Simulator for North American Gas and LNG™ and G2M2® Market Simulator for Global Gas and LNG™.

Attendees further learned about navigating the volatile and complex future of natural gas, LNG, and hydrogen markets with these tools from experts in both regional and global markets as well as new energy such as hydrogen.

RBAC’s Senior Director of Market Analysis, Bethel King, was first to take the stage presenting highlights from the recently released 24Q2 update to GPCM’s base case covering:

  • Henry Hub Price & Basis
  • Supply & Demand
  • LNG Exports
  • Storage
  • Ongoing and Upcoming Pipeline Projects
  • New Enhancements to GPCM

Next to present was our Executive Director for Global Gas & LNG, Dr. Ning Lin covering the key drivers and forecasts for the global gas market:

  • Short-Term Drivers, 2024-2025 (Weather, Geopolitics, Supply Chain Disruptions
  • Medium-Term Drivers, 2026-2030 (Policy Changes, Liquefaction Capacity Expansions)
  • Long-Term Drivers, 2030 Onward (Asia’s LNG Demand, Europe’s Overall Gas Demand)

Overall, the seminar was a great success and was a fantastic follow up to the one held in Singapore earlier this year.

Stay tuned for more in-person and online seminars as we can continue to dive into market trends and dynamics and showcase all of the possibilities that may lie ahead under various scenarios utilizing our market simulation tools.

It is with tools such as these that both companies and countries can ensure that they are aware of all potential reverberations in the market that could arise from any decisions made related to energy.
